The East Wind

Special Power: Enemy units receive -30% ranged combat strength; all units moving with the East Wind gain flying. (Movement to an adjacent province costs only 1 point for a flying unit.)

Profile: The Winds -- there are four, for each of the cardinal directions of the compass -- are ancient spirits, associated with the sky gods worshipped during the Arethoi Empire. Traditionally -- and, apparently, in truth -- the East Wind is the friendliest of the four, assisting mariners and bringing gentle rains to the fields. (The North Wind, by contrast, is pictured as a right bastard.)

According to legend, the East Wind has, in the past, assisted the Emperor of Adav in times of trouble -- and perhaps it will play a role in the war to come.
