Profile: Ulbarin d'Kota Reon, of the Tchechkovar Reons, grew up with a silver hammer in her mouth, as the dwarves say. From the earliest years, her twin passions were mechanical toys and military miniatures; many a lead soldier gave its life to feed the maw of one of her tiny war machines.

Somewhat taken aback by her bloodthirsty delight in wargaming, her parents nonetheless indulged her, and she matriculated at the age of fourteen at the Rontograd Commercial Academy, where she took her degree in military engineering.

In keeping with a family tradition that all children must contribute to the family fortune before pursuing their own interests, she invented a series of mechanical toys upon her graduation -- more refined versions of ones she had designed for her own use as a child. They found a ready market, and she was soon quite wealthy in her own right.

Immediately thereafter, she applied to a management position with the Military Affairs Division of Rontovar Enterprises, PLC, the governing corporation of the Rontovar realm, where she received rapid promotion, eventually becoming the corporation's Executive Vice President for Military Affairs.

Under her management, the division has invested heavily in new technology, including the renowned Turtles, the self-mobile war machines feared by neighboring nations. She herself prefers to ride in an experimental device that she affectionately calls Stomper, which boasts three enormous legs and twin autoloading Gatling arbalests with depleted-adamantine warheads.
