Allegiance: Celestial Empire

Profile: Tsung the Mathemancer is Wen Professor of Mathemagical Studies at Serene University, a world renowned expert on magical matters, and author of the Mundus Esotericus, considered one of the classic works of magical theory.

It is his insight that mathematics, being intrinsically a system of symbols, is ideally suited to magical use; indeed, its very abstraction allows it to be used more flexibly than any other system of symbology.

Despite his stature, Tsung is rarely invited to attend the Imperial Court; he is brash and unimpressed with court procedure and quite disliked by the Celestial Emperor. However, he is a loyal citizen of the Empire, and in time of war, is called upon to assist its arms.
